David Huddleston

I've been a full-time artist/teacher here in the valley since 1972. I have a B.S. degree in commercial art. I taught art for Napa Valley College for 15 years and taught short stints at Merced College, Pacific Union College and for Napa Valley Adult Education at Ridgeview school. Since 1982 I have also been teaching on my own as well as conducting traveling watercolor workshops around the country and around the world.

I have received approximately 100 honors and awards in local and national art competitions. For the past 15 years, I have been heavily involved in doing sets for different theatre groups...mostly local but also throughout California, across the country and overseas.

After gaining much experience working on a larger scale, I have also turned to doing more and more murals for public and private collections. The largest of these was a backdrop scene for the play "Peter Pan". It was completed in a sound stage in Santa Clarita (Southern California), and measured approximately 20' high by 160' long.
